Get a Library Card
Who can get a card
There is no fee charged to anyone who wishes to obtain a library card. Identification and verification of residence (any item that has been received at your legal address and shows the address) is required to obtain a library card. Identification can be established through a current driver’s license, school identification card, or other valid picture identification issued by a governmental agency. If no valid picture identification is available, the library director may accept other reasonable forms of identification that establish identity. The Honey Grove Library welcomes patrons from all of Fannin, Lamar and Hunt Counties.
A parent or guardian must assume responsibility for materials borrowed by a person under sixteen years of age; therefore, it is the adult’s identification that is required for registration of a minor.
Demographic information may be gathered in order to plan library services. This information is used anonymously (no identifying information is complied or reported) and is not disclosed in any way that would identify the person registering. All information provided on the registration form is protected by rules and laws (Privacy Act of 1974) pertaining to confidentiality of records and privacy.
Library cards are renewable every year. You may print and fill out the form below and bring it to the library with proper identification.
